Farmers are faced with many challenges.. one being weeds in crop fields! Name the weed you see.. HINT: One of the most hated weeds! These are Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans. Planted beginning of July. Can you tell me why these plants are still here and alive in this field? Do you think this field was sprayed? What can be sprayed on this weed that kills it? What are these soybeans tolerate too? What can I spray over this crop without injury? What height does this weed need to be sprayed at for proper management? What is the herbicides label requirements? Should I have planted another variety of soybeans for different control? What herbicide kills this weed? What does this weed have resistance too? What do neighboring farm have planted? How much does this weed or weeds in general affect yield? Am I using the right nozzle? Am I using the right rate? What do I do next year? All questions farmers face in the growing season among all crops and different weeds targets. Questions they are asking and wanting answers too! No herbicide will just kill everything. We all wish it was that easy! Nothing in farming is easy! Well one that I know of and thats gramoxone /paraquat which is a contact herbicide but that will kill our crops too! Normally just used for a burn-down. Then on top of it all you have to deal with public targeting farmers in anything and everything they do! Public spreading false information, joining bandwagons because they saw on facebook or a movie or cause the package says so! Meanwhile farmers are doing everything they can to provide you with food, from vegetables to fruit to crops to livestock! Working 24/7, facing every challenge… markets, equipment breaks, costs, labor, weather, pests… Meanwhile your sitting on your couch making up how everything they do harms you while your eating a mis-labeled product just to make you buy it. That label your paying for that says Non-GMO that has NO GMO crops in it. But you had to get it because it said it, so you believe it! Can you tell me the 10 GMO crops in the U.S off the top of your head that are on the market? Instead how about you ask questions to your local farmers. If you have a concern express it and hear the truth from the farm itself! Ask how it’s helping their farm. Why or when do they do this! Go out and watch harvest or hay being cut! Hot, Cold, Rain or Shine! Heck sign yourself up for a days work on a farm, everyday is different! See if you could do it! Yes there are farms, that have done bad things but there are also bad people in the world does that mean me and you are the same? No! Support local farms, get fresh produce rather than buying that package at walmart that was imported here and probably a few weeks old! Ever notice you can pick fresh produce or buy and it last longer than produce you buy from walmart! How is it that people think it’s cool to crossbred dogs to make a big dog, little or take certain characteristics. Like a pomsky! BUT a farmer gets a bad reputation for trying to improve genetics with technology in crops or livestock? I want to say its because they don’t care or have no interest in farms or farmers! (and that hurts to say) People who just want to talk about how bad everything is and don’t remember farmers are important and provide you with so much while they are getting little in return… Why do they care about that dog that is a hybrid? Well because it’s something they want, it’s cool, it’s trending and they think it’s cute.. (i’m guilty too, they are cute) even though it may only live 10+ years it makes us happy… Well guess what folks you have to eat to survive, I don’t know about you but food makes me happy too! (obliviously, hangry is real thing) Crops don’t just don’t grow themselves, livestock doesn’t tend themselves, clothes don’t just exist! Products you use daily don’t just appear overnight! Yes, we can import things…sure but y’all keep complaining about prices going up.. Why don’t we support the agriculture industry because it keeps providing and let me tell you the prices in return to grower aren’t the best but they still do it for YOU, and your family and they enjoy it! I am here to agvocate, answer those questions on misleading information, show you farm life be open, show you the good and bad days, show you everything from calf being pulled, lamb born premature, fields being sprayed, cows being vaccinated, sheep running to sound of bucket shaking, crops being harvested, maintence or even the desk piled of bills to keep farm running! Happy Wednesday, Rant over, SHARE, Agvocate and support the Agriculture industry, big or small they all matter. Support your farmers! Thank a farmer, STOP spreading all false “shit”.. around here we use that as fertilizer❤️ Drop a ❤️ in comments if you support our farmers and the agriculture industry!
